I have never seen waves like this. Of course there have been bigger waves. It is just that I haven’t seen bigger waves in Puerto Vallarta and I have been coming here for over 15 years. I missed Hurricane Kenna by a few days and that was completely different and can’t be compared at all. Today’s waves actually had me nervous about jumping into the ocean for the first time ever.
And those big waves did make for good photo “ops” which also prove that no matter how bad of a photographer you are and how cheap your camera is – you can still catch a great photo. (Yes I do have a good camera now thanks to a wonderful Christmas gift, but no way am I walking around with a camera in PV that can’t survive a Mexican toilet. I am just too much of a klutz to risk that). My philosophy to taking a great photo is “Take Lots”. Besides, after a few too many cerveza who knows where I might leave a decent camera.
Quite humorous though were the “Beatles” marionettes swaying in the breeze with the scenic ocean background. Of course Goofy and Donald Duck were keeping rhythm quite swimmingly too.
