It was a bit grey at the White Rock Farmers Market this morning but the flowers and fresh vegetables brightened it up. I was pleased to see local blueberries already! Now as I write this the sun has come out and the sky has turned to blue.
Township 7 is allowed to sell their wine at Farmers Markets thanks to the new BC liquor laws. Township 7 is just a short drive east of White Rock down 16th avenue. If you go by their booth, ask for a Complimentary Wine tasting for 2 card. It is a lot of fun to visit their winery. A quick drop-in ends up being a stay.
Blueglass Jewellery is a new vender I haven’t seen before. Andrea makes beautiful jewelry from recycled glass with sterling silver accents. The sea blue and sea greens were so pretty I wanted to buy them all. She was wearing a lovely green glass set of earings, necklace and ring but she was too shy for a photo.
Brian McClellan, the Raw Guy offered me a kale chip taste. I’m not very adventurous so I chose rosemary and thyme. The first bite was a bit unusual but left a pleasant taste in my mouth worthy of another try. Now, the more I eat them the more I like them and I wish I had bought more than just one bag. They really do taste better than potato chips plus kale is incredibly healthy. Between Nourish Juice and kale chips I’m going to be so healthy I am going to have to balance it out with some Township 7 Merlot ;-).
Garry Allen the artist behind Coldstream Pottery was there. I enjoy browsing his new designs. He had some swoopy new mugs that I adored.
Don’t miss the fun down at the beach this Tuesday, Canada Day July 1st and fireworks at 10:20pm.
Enjoy this beautiful day! 🙂
