As you have probably noticed, my favourite thing to do on Sunday morning during the summer is to browse around the White Rock Farmers Market before heading down to the beach.
First I had to stop at Hello Friends for their Date Orange Maple Walnut Quinoa Oatcakes. I’ve heard that when food is as healthy as quinoa calories don’t count. It’s a good thing because you can’t stop at just a few. 😉
Today as a treat for dinner I picked up some Goat Feta from Milner Valley Cheese to make a Greek salad. Then I had to get some green juice from Nourish Juice. I am not a “juicer” but I sure am amazed how well this quenches and tastes.
Then I headed down to the beach to Jan’s On the Beach one of my favourite places to eat. I had the brie stuffed crepes drizzled with marmalade. Yes, they were as delicious as they sound. Usually when I go to Jan’s I have the soup but I was glad I made a good menu choice. The photos with the flowers in the foreground are the view from my table at Jan’s. I don’t think it gets any better than that. 🙂
There were two bald eagles at the beach today. One with his dinner on the sand and the other circling above and squawking. The photos are not close enough because I only had my phone for photos. I should have had my Cannon with the better lens for a close-up. Although the train certainly appears close enough!
And of course – Happy Father’s Day Dad!
